Annoying Technology Episode 1

My universal non-IRC messenger client, has recently started demanding confirmation of conversation backup locations. This I have no problem with. What I do have a problem with,  is that before saving my selection, my messenger demands that I update one of the software programs that it shipped with.

Okay, I'll do that, just give me my bleeding messenger client already!

I go to update the software, agree to all the stupidity therewith, and it downloads...but the it cannot install the update because there's not enough space on my device.

REALLY?? The update is 37.5 Mb. I have 149 Mb available in Phone Memory, 202 Mb available in Internal Storage,  and 6.44 Gb available on my SD card!
(Clearly my SD card is worthless in this phone!)

Now someone please tell me what I am doing wrong, because in my mind, all that space means I can update my software, yet my device (clearly) thinks otherwise!

Introduction

Hello all,

Most of you will know me as Bunnee or maybe even jerith's Young Lady and that is just fine with me.

I live in Cape Town, South Africa and over the past few years, have had the opportunity to meet several people on their maiden visit to this diverse country.
After each meeting, I have come to realise how much South Africans have at our fingertips that totally stymied newcomers.

This blog is about all the weird things that us 'Saffers' take for granted... Although there might be an occasional art piece or rant as well...
